Taylor and Soapes is lovingly named after my grandmothers, Eva Taylor and Bertha Soapes. Located in a former bank building on the main street of a small Midwest town, the initial vision of Taylor and Soapes was a small paper products shop, open several days a week, offering unique paper napkins, plates, and invitations.
However, with the support and assistance of my husband, Dennis Yokley, and the staff at Taylor and Soapes, we have now created an even more exciting shopping experience for you. The main bank vault, now empty of its safe deposit boxes and cannonball safe, was renovated in 2006 into a nursery for your “Precious Treasures” and offers distinctive baby gifts and heirloom baby furnishings.
The addition of the Tea Room in 2007 is my greatest accomplishment to date. It gives me great joy to provide a bright and beautiful place for women to slow down, relax and enjoy family and old friends or perhaps discover a new friendship. I hope many happy memories are created in the comfortable atmosphere of the Taylor and Soapes Tea Room.
We hope to see you soon!
